I hereby give notice of a meeting of Brampford Speke Parish Council to be held on Wednesday 9th March 2022 at 7.30pm at Brampford Speke Village Hall, to which Councillors are summoned.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and may speak at the Public Question Time. Members of the Public wishing to ask a question at public question time can send the question to the Clerk 24 hours before the commencement of the meeting and the Chairman will read this out on your behalf if you cannot attend in person.

2. Declarations of Interest Under the Code of Conduct
Councillors are reminded of the requirement to declare any interest, including the type of interest, and reason for that interest, either at this stage of the meeting or as soon as they become aware of that interest.

3. Minutes
To adopt the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 12th January 2022

4. Public Question Time
Up to 5 minutes Public Question Time for members of the public to bring forward any issues not on the agenda (where a matter is already on the agenda members of the public will be given an opportunity to speak when that item is considered, within the framework of the Council’s standing orders). Where a decision is required, the issue will be placed on the following agenda.

To receive the account summary to February 28th 2022 (previously approved by Cllr A Birmingham)

2 x Payment to HMRC (January & February)
2 x Payment to BT for Village Hall WiFi (paid by DD on 28.01.2022 & 28.02.2022) - £28.15
1 x Payment Ayre Contractors – Cleaning of Station Hill - £253.80

Note: Payments approved by Councillors S Luxton, A Birmingham and R Tillett in accordance with the Financial Regulations

Council to approve the use of internal auditor Miss T S Watkins for the municipal year 2021-2022 at a cost of £40.

WiFi Contract – to discuss renewal as contract ends on 26 May 2022

7. EDDC Update
To receive an update from Cllr Jamie Kemp, East Devon District Council

8. DCC Update
To receive an update from Cllr Sara Randall-Johnson and Cllr Henry Gent, Devon County Council

9. Village Hall Roof Repairs
The Parish Council had gone out to tender as previously agreed on 10th November 2022. One contractor had responded and provided a specification and a quotation which had been provided to Councillors.

Council to discuss the quotation for the works and agree further steps to be taken prior to commencement of works including the financing of the repairs by a benefactor.

10. Co-Option of Councillor
Members to receive any applications for co-option to the Parish Council

11. Resignation of Clerk
Council to acknowledge resignation of the Parish Clerk/RFO effective from 1st May 2022 and to decide:

• Requirements for new Parish Clerk/RFO (see attached job specification)
• Advertisement of vacancy – Timings, sources and deadlines
• Pay scale for new clerk
