2024 Coldridge Flower Festival – Time is running out to enter

Whilst interest has been strong this year with some two-dozen entries registered thus far, we have a few spaces remaining for new creative floral displays to become part of the 2024 Coldridge Flower Festival in St. Matthew’s Church on Saturday 29th June.

This year’s theme is ‘Films’ – that could be a floral display depicting a well-known film title, recognisable film characters (or a film scene) or anything else to do with the film industry.  You may incorporate appropriate ‘props’ to annotate your floral display, subject to the organiser’s published guidelines.

Our Flower Festival is not a competition, and anyone is welcome to contribute, young or old, male or female, on your own or as part of a group or even as a family.

If you think you’d be interested and like to discuss/find out more about the theme or what creating a display will entail then please contact Lyn Green on 01363 83791 or mobile 07773 370205 before the end of May.

Lyn will be happy to advise you on the remaining display locations that are available  in St. Matthew’s as well as guiding you through the preparation timetable.

Floral displays and remembrance Posies in place for Saturday 29th June’s Festival Display will remain in-situ for Sunday 30th June, when we will be holding our Fete Thanksgiving Service at 4pm.

2024 Flower Festival - Launch Meeting Announcement

2024 Flower festival Launch

Our Coldridge Fete & Flower Festival will be taking place this year on 29th June and our thoughts will be turning to decorating the church with flowers & foliage for the Flower Festival. Our last one was a great success and the church was filled with beautiful displays. If you would like to be creative and ‘have a go’ at contributing please do get in touch.

This is not a competition and anyone is welcome to contribute, young or old, male or female, on your own or as part of a group or even as a family.

If you would like to take part or just find out more, please join us on Saturday 24 February at 10.30am in the church for a coffee & a chat. We will decide a theme and people can explore the nooks & crannies of the church and choose a spot for their creations!

I am happy to help & will go through a few ideas and tips. We hope that lots of people will take part!

I look forward to hearing from you.
