Flower Festival

Alongside the Village Fete and Vintage tractor/vehicle attractions located in Church Field on fete day, St Matthew's Church will play host to the traditional themed biennial Village Flower Festival and the artistry of our local flower arrangers.

The Flower Festival organisers are welcoming small personal posy displays to be included in the St Matthew's festival display. All are invited.

Flower Festival Organisers Announce 2018's Theme

The main theme for the 2018 Flower Festival will be 'The Wildlife Around Us'.  Besides the main arrangements, the festival organisers would like to continue the tradition of including small posy displays (e.g. in a jam-jar sized container) dedicated to the memory of a loved one - to be used as decoration on the rood-screen and pew-ends.

Calling all Fete Flower Arrangers !!  

Plans for this year’s Vintage Rally, Fete and Flower Festival on 30 June are taking shape, and we need a team of enthusiastic flower arrangers for a planning meeting on Saturday 17 March in Church at 10.30 am (just in time for coffee!) 

All comers will be most welcome, and there will be opportunities for displays large and small, so please don’t be shy.  We need to decide this year’s theme, so please bring along your ideas and we will choose the most popular together.
