The clerk stated that Cllr Squires had received several complaints about the vehicles speeding through Nomansland and understood the police monitored the speed twice a year, although this doesn’t appear to have happen of late. She asked that the parish council confirm their wish for a speed monitor to be done by emailing her directly and she will take it up with the police.

  1. HIGHWAYS

a) Mr P. Lake reported that a hedge had been planted on the B3137 belonging to Hope Cottage, Nomansland which was causing very bad visibility when vehicles join the B3137 coming from the side of Mount Pleasant Inn. The clerk stated that she had also received complaints about this issue.

b) Mr P. Lake stated that due to the overhanging trees at the entrance to the lane leading to Middlewick Farm, Nomansland large vehicles especially buses have to move over to the middle of the road causing problems to on coming traffic. Apparently, this had been raised before but they were told that the tree had a preservation order on it, so the clerk was asked to check it again.
