Parish Council meeting on Thursday 11th February 2021 at 8 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 this meeting was held remotely via video conferencing

  1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

 

The minutes of the meeting held on 14th January 2021 had already been circulated prior to the meeting.

 

Proposal: Agreement to the content of the minutes was proposed by Mr. Berry and seconded by Mr. P. Lake and was unanimously agreed by the meeting. Minutes will be signed by the chairman in due course.

 

  1. DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

Mr P. Lake declared an interest in Planning Application 21/00098/FULL

 

  1. MATTERS ARISING

 

The clerk reported that Allison Clements had resigned as Parish Councillor due to family illness. Vacancy to be discussed at next meeting.

 

Cllr Squires advised the meeting that she was chasing the Traffic Regulation Order for Pennymoor as a new Devon CC officer had just been appointed who deals with TROs.  Also the clerk of Lapford PC had left and they now had a vacancy and they are holding the grant money for both parish councils for a joint TRO.

 

The water leak at Way Village HAD now been fixed.

 

  1. PLANNING APPLICATION (21/00098/FULL) – Variation of condition 1 of planning permission 11/00472/MFUL to allow for an extension to the cessation in the production of renewable energy until 2051 at Tilling Energy Limited Solar Farm, Nomansland.

 

Mr P. Lake left the Zoom meeting

 

Mr David Manley (Planning Consultant) spoke about the reasons for wanting a time limit extension for the renewable energy which was mainly for greater efficiency. The meeting discussed the application.

 

Proposal: Mr. M. Lake proposed and Mr Kingdom seconded no objections to this application. The meeting unanimously agreed.

 

Mr P. Lake rejoined the Zoom meeting

 

  1. HIGHWAY PROBLEMS

 

  • The road at the bend through Cruwys Morchard woods had become very uneven
  • Water was running across the road between South Linhay and Ruckham Cross and becomes very icy at times which can be very dangerous to vehicles.
