Parish Council meeting on Thursday 14th January 2021 at 8 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 this meeting was held remotely via video conferencing

  1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

 

The minutes of the meeting held on 10th December 2020 had already been circulated prior to the meeting.

 

Proposal: Agreement to the content of the minutes was proposed by Mr. Berry and seconded by Mrs Mitchell and was unanimously agreed by the meeting. Minutes will be signed by the chairman in due course.

 

  1. DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

None

 

  1. MATTERS ARISING

 

Mr. M. Lake confirmed that the broken grit bin between the parish hall and West Ruckham junction has been replaced and filled with grit.

 

  1. PLANNING APPLICATION (19/01965/FULL) – Retention and conversion of barn to 2 dwellings at The Shippon, Thongsleigh Farm, Pennymoor

 

Lengthy discussion took place due to the confusion since the original planning application, but it was felt that it would not affect any neighbours and no objections had been received

 

Proposal: Mr. Kingdom proposed and Mr M. Lake seconded no objections to this application. The meeting unanimously agreed.

 

  1. HIGHWAY PROBLEMS

 

  • Mr Hall reported that the road had flooded in Way Village just down from Eastway due to a blocked soakaway. He had reported it to Devon CC.
  • There was water running constantly by Way Village Chapel which had been reported to South West Water
  • Various potholes between Beer Ash Cross and Way Village
  • Various potholes between Little Heath and Robins Post
  • Various potholes down Cotton Lane
  • Pothole outside Pennymoor Timber. 

 

WARD BOUNDARY CHANGE

 

Cllr Colthorpe reported that the outcome of the Boundary consultation was that Thelbridge Parish was now moved into the Way Ward, so that the whole of Nomansland stayed together.
