Minutes 9th February 2023
Parish Council meeting was held on Thursday 9th February 2023 at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall
1. MEMBERS PRESENT
Mr D. Berry (Chairman), Mr M. Lake, Mr J. Grant, Mr. G. Kingdom, Ms R. Wibberley

Mr. G. Hall (surgery recovery) Mrs. J. Mitchell (Family illness), Mr. P Lake (sick), Cllr Colthorpe (District Councillor) (Surgery), Cllr Margaret Squires (County Councillor) (Sick)

4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held on 12th January 2023 had already been circulated prior to the meeting.
Proposal: Agreement to the content of the minutes was proposed by Mr Kingdom and seconded by Mr. M. Lake and was unanimously agreed by the meeting. The minutes were signed by the chairman.
5. DECLARATION OF INTEREST
None
6. MATTERS ARISING
The clerk stated that she is arranging for Defibrillator donation list to be put in the church magazine but has just missed the deadline this week so it will be in the next issue in a couple of months’ time.
7. PLANNING APPLICATION (22/02195/HOUSE) Erection of two-storey extension at Market Hill, Pennymoor
The owners of the property showed the meeting large plans for the application. A short discussion took place.
Proposed: Mr M. Lake proposed and Ms Wibberley seconded agreement with this planning application and the meeting unanimously agreed.
8. ROCK SALT
The clerk was asked by Mr Hall to purchase some rock salt for the 2 grit bins in Way Village as a matter of urgency, so a large bag was bought from Travis Perkins.
Proposal: Mr Kingdom proposed and Mr Grant seconded agreement to the payment for the rock salt of £224.26 and the meeting unanimously agreed.
9. HIGHWAYS
The following highway problems were reported
- Potholes on bend around Parish Hall
- Potholes on Church Hill
- Potholes at Pages Cross junction with the A3137
