Minutes January 2024

 Parish Council meeting was held on Thursday 11th January 2024 at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall

  1.  MEMBERS PRESENT

 Mr G. Hall (Chairman), Mr. P. Lake, Mr. J. Grant, Mr. M. Lake, Mr D. Berry, Mrs J. Mitchell, Ms R. Wibberley, Cllr P. Colthorpe (District Councillor)

4.     MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING 

The minutes of the meeting held on 14th December 2023 had already been circulated prior to the meeting. 

Proposal: Agreement to the content of the minutes was proposed by Mr M. Lake and seconded by Mr. P. Lake and was unanimously agreed by the meeting. The minutes were signed by the chairman.

6.     MATTERS ARISING 

None 

  1. PLANNING APPLICATION (23/01959/MFUL) – Variation of condition 2 of planning permission 19/00075/MFUL (Erection of an agricultural educational/training facility to include demolition of arm buildings; erection of 5 buildings comprising of 20 residential apartments for service users; alterations to convert existing buildings to create classrooms and office suites; formation of an access track and overspill car park) to allow substitutions of approved plans at Kelly Farm, Nomansland. 

A short discussion took place. 

Proposal: Mr Berry proposed, and Mr P. Lake seconded approval of this application and the meeting unanimously agreed. 

  1. Increase in DALC subscription 

The DALC has informed all Parish Councils of a significant increase in their annual subscription for next year. 

They have provided justification for the increase and Cruwys Morchard Parish Council increase has risen by nearly 40%. 

The meeting discussed the above and decided to accept the increase as it is important that the parish council has access to DALC services. 

Proposal: Mrs Mitchell proposed and Mr. Berry seconded acceptance of the increase in subscription and the meeting unanimously agreed 

  1. HIGHWAYS 

The clerk stated that some previously reported potholes had been repaired, however, some filler had already been displaced. 

Some grit bins have been refilled.
