Community Resilience

This Plan came about when in June 2014, around 30 parishioners attended a public meeting to discuss issues around flooding. The meeting was organised by the Parish Council and representatives from Devon County Council, Mid Devon District Council and the Environment Agency were in attendance together with various land owners.
Following on from this meeting the NSC Flood Defence Group was formed and a Community Resilience Plan was written.

Devon County Council Property Level Resilience (PLR) Grant Scheme
This offers households a grant of up to £5,000 for property level resilience measures such as flood doors, anti-flood air bricks and other measures designed to protect homes from flooding. Details can be found on the link below
