St. Peter's Parish Church
About St.Peter's Church
It is known that there has been a church on the present site since the 15th Century with the present tower dating back to that time. However the porch, nave, chancel and vestry only date from 1838. The tower houses eight bells, said to have exceptional tone, cast by Mears of London in 1825 and given to the church by the then rector, the Rev James Parkin. He also presented the organ, built by J R Mortimore of Tiverton, in 1841.
