05/07/22 Mid Devon District Council
5.1 Planning Applications:
None
5.2 Planning Decisions:
22/00233/FULL-Variation of condition 2 of planning permission 21/01430/FULL to allow the provision of an integrated garage and an external chimney - Erection of an agricultural workers dwelling at land at NGR 289026 99967 (West of Shute Cross) Shobrooke - grant permission
5.3 Report from MDDC Councillor, Cllr Graeme Barnell on MDDC business relevant to the parish including update on affordable housing.
Cllr G Barnell would contact Cllr L Balkwill for an update on progress with a list of parishioners interested in working on an affordable housing project.
Crediton Town Council were organising meetings with local parishes to discuss joint planning in and around Crediton. Cllr A Jones would attend the next meeting. It was agreed that Peddlars Pool was an area for discussion.

The pot hole by Creedy Court had been filled

08/07/22 Parish Council
8.1 To consider any responses to parish consultation re 20mph speeding limit and to consider any further action
To be carried forward to the next meeting as some consultation replies were still outstanding
8.2 To note correspondence from Police
The Police had supplied details of two websites – one which showed recorded crimes by policing area and another which showed accident data. There was also an offer for a councillor to accompany an Officer on their patrol and Cllr A Jones would be willing to do this.
8.3 To agree scheme of delegation for the Clerk to reply applications submitted between July and September meetings after email correspondence with Cllrs.

09/07/22 Councillor’s Reports
9.1 To consider any Councillor reports for areas of responsibility
Defibrillator at Efford Barnes – signs were required for the road to indicate the location of the defibrillator. Clerk to find out code for the defibrillator cabinet and ensure all residents are aware of the code.
Seeds for the Jubilee – Clerk to deliver seeds to children in Efford Barns and Shute
9.2 Playing Fields
9.2.1 To note weekly inspections reports and update on maintenance
Clerk to chase up inspection reports. Cllr A Jones had undercoated the basketball posts, painted the slide and greased the roundabout. It was agreed to replace one part of the balance beam and Cllr A Jones would obtain quotes from local suppliers
9.2.2 To note the grant to Viridor has been successful. To note time scales for installation
Viridor had awarded a grant of £10,000 for toddler multiplay equipment. The lead time for installation was 20 weeks. The contributory third party contribution from Cllr M Squires locality fund had to be paid by cheque. However, DCC did not issue cheques. It was resolved that the Clerk should apply for the locality fund grant and forward a cheque from the Parish Council.
9.2.3 To consider maintenance of grass area between boundary fence and neighbouring fences
A resident in School Close had requested that the area between the boundary fence and the neighbouring fence was cut back. However, another resident had requested that it was kept wild. It was agreed to cut back the area by the resident who had requested it but to leave the other areas.

Cllr M Squires reported that DCC would likely have an overspend this financial year
