Village volunteers prepare site for Church & Playground wall re-build

Over a couple of recent weekends, a village working party started the preparations for a re-build of the wall between the Churchyard and Playground. The volunteers cleared the vegetation and the stone was put aside to be re-used. A digger was brought in so that the remaining part could be dug away to ground level. Thanks to Geoffrey, John, Julian, Mandy and Richard for their hard work - pictured below.

..... and the appointed stone mason started work on Monday! The photo below shows the great progress.

Stoodleigh Community Help Network:  Update

The Stoodleigh Community Help Network continues to be on hand should our neighbours need assistance!

Since April 2020 and during the coronavirus pandemic several residents in our parish volunteered to support their neighbours by helping with everyday necessities. Our community is great at offering help to one another under normal circumstances so the group were able to provide an extra back-up.

The group offering their support to people in the community will continue to be available should residents need help at particular times with necessities like shopping and collecting prescriptions, etc.

Stoodleigh residents, please remember, if you need some help, or know someone in our parish who might need some support, please let us know.

You can email stoodleighweb@gmail.com and we will do our best to put you in touch with one of our volunteers.
