Minutes Annual Meeting May 24 2021

Minutes of the Annual Meeting of Stoodleigh Parish Council, held in the Parish Hall at 7.00pm on May 24 2021

 

Members present -:

Cllr L Biles  Cllr W Knowles  Cllr G Parkman  Cllr C Payne  Cllr G Talbot   Cllr J Widdowson

1. Election of Chairman – Cllr Leo Biles was proposed by Cllr Widdowson and seconded by Cllr Knowles. He was unanimously re-elected
2. Apologies – there were none received
3. Declarations of Interest – there were none received
4. Retiring Chairman’s Report – this covered all the significant events of the past year and commended the obvious community spirit shown during the pandemic.
5. Appointment of a Vice Chairman – Cllr Widdowson agreed to continue as such
6. Allocation of Responsibilities

Planning - Cllr Payne will continue to take the lead, arranging site visits where appropriate. Any resulting minutes will be directed to MDDC.

Personnel - any issues arising will be dealt with by the Chairman & Vice Chair

Finance – cheques will require 2 signatures as before once payments have been approved by the council. The signatories for the HSBC account are Biles, Widdowson and the Clerk

Website – Cllr G Talbot

Police & Playground – Cllr J Widdowson

Highways – Cllr Knowles

Footpaths – Cllr S Davey

Village Hall – Cllr G Parkman

9. Finance – a copy of the budget for 2021/22, updated in May was circulated
