To consider planning application 24/00511/FULL. Change of use of agricultural land to a mixed use of agricultural and tour/tasting sessions of vineyard, to include erection of a marquee for use between May-October, compost toilet and storage of wine in agricultural shed. Land and buildings at NGR 292096 119110 Quoit-at-Cross Stoodleigh
The council is unanimous in its support of this application. It is particularly encouraged to see a young person, born and brought up in the village, creating a viable business and one that involves diversification from mainstream agriculture. The proposed development uses a redundant farm building which will therefore have no visual impact and the proposed marquee and compost toilet have been sympathetically designed and located to have minimal visual impact. There is adequate parking for the limited number of vehicles anticipated and it will use an established entrance with visibility splay.
