On the 16th October members of the Parish Council visited the site which was the subject of this application.

Following discussion it was, unanimously:-    

RESOLVED that the Local Planning Authority be advised that the Parish Council support this application.

  1. Planning Application:

23/01446/MFUL | Erection of barn to incorporate and indoor arena following demolition of existing | Ashmoor Stud Ashfields Stoodleigh Tiverton EX16 9QF.

On the 16th October members of the Parish Council visited the site which was the subject of this application.

Following discussion it was, unanimously:-   

RESOLVED that the Local Planning Authority be advised that the Parish Council support this application. Subject to the following amendments being incorporated into the final plans:

 i)  The pitch to the roof over the arena area to be lowered to an angle of 12.5 degrees.

 i)  The roof line over the kitchen / stable / tack area be lowered to reflect that of a single storey building.

 iii)  To avoid light pollution the window openings on the West elevation are removed and also no outside lighting is to be used.

iv)  The facility will not have a commercial license.

23/01580/HHEU | Prior Approval for enlargement of a dwellinghouse by construction of an additional storey, with proposed ridge height 8.12m, under Class AA | Highfield Stoodleigh Tiverton Devon EX16 9PR

On the 25th October members of the Parish Council visited the site which was the subject of this application

Following discussion it was, unanimously:-    

RESOLVED that the Local Planning Authority be advised that the Parish Council do not support this application, on the basis that a two storey structure will visually impact the view from Stoodleigh Drive.

The parish councillors agreed that the single storey extension previously proposed under application 22/020502/House should be reconsidered as this is a more suitable development for this plot and would not impact the view from Stoodleigh Drive.
