Bell ringing is an ancient art over 400 years old and is a skill for life you will never forget. It can open up a lifetime of experiences and enjoyment and is a great hobby. Anyone can learn to ring, it does not matter what age you are. It is all about technique: you do not need to be a mathematical genius, musical, religious or stay for services. It is a great social activity, good exercise, keeps the mind active and will not cost you anything to learn. There is always a new challenge and you can take it as far as you want.

Most importantly, you will be continuing a tradition which dates back hundreds of years, ringing for services, weddings and other special occasions.

Practices are held every Thursday evening 7.30-9.00pm and beginners are welcome.

Contact the Tower Captain, Philip Turner (01398 351302), if you would like to learn, join the regular ringers or would like further details.
