Wembworthy Parish Council July 2020 Minutes
PARISH COUNCIL OF WEMBWORTHY
Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 9th July 2020 7.30pm at the village hall.
This meeting was called to deal specifically with the Annual Audit Report which needed to be approved and signed. There were also payments to be approved as shown.
1/ Members present, Chairman Councillor Graham Penter, Councillors Joanne Hunt, Oliver Hunt and Lawrence Peters.
Apologies were received from Councillors George Markou, Gail Tucker and Susan Vile who are all shielding due to Covid 19.
2/ Public questions –
No members of the public to present any questions.
3/Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes were agreed as correct
4/Matters arising from the minutes...
There is nothing to be dealt with specifically at this meeting. Any other business to be carried forward to the next meeting.
The VE Day celebrations did not take place at the village hall as planned due to Covid 19 so no cake was made.
5/ Accounts
a) Update on bank balance £7298.39 as per the last statement received dated 30th April 2020. The Precept of £3700 was received on 8th April 2020 with no movement since.
b) cheques to sign as per Agenda

DAPC membership £62.11
Community First Insurance £199.26 as the council decided to take the 3 year long term agreement option to save costs.

c) Annual Audit Report 2019/2020
i) AGAR Certificate of Exemption for Authorities with an income of less than £25000 – this was approved by the council as our income is less than £3750 and this saves an Audit Fee of £220. An Internal Audit is to be conducted by Bryan Richardson, as per previous years, who is independent from the council.
ii) The Annual Governance Statement was approved by the Council and signed by the Chairman and clerk/RFO.
iii) The Accounting Statements were approved by the council and signed by the chairman and clerk/RFO.
The full Report will be published onto the PC website by 31st July 2020.
6/ AOB and items for next meeting’s Agenda
Planning Applications
The following application was received on 12th June 2020 for consultation.
20/00785/HOUSE Erection of a multipurpose garage/storage building at Hill View Wembworthy.
All councillors confirmed in agreement the following.
There are no objections to the application as it is not visible from the street and it should improve the access for neighbouring properties to parking on the street where currently 3 vehicles are kept by the applicant.
